Compact sensor module with motion detection (PIR) and light intensity measurement for DALI and DALI-2 systems. The module can either be used to directly control the DALI system (application controller) or simply to gather measurements for a building management system (instance mode).
The DALI-2 CS can be configured with the DALI Cockpit Software to send various DALI commands upon motion detection (on/off, max, min, scene, …) to either the entire DALI system, groups, or individual addresses.
The module contains a light sensor and can automatically adjust room lighting (constant light control). 4 operating modes are supported: motion triggered constant light control; motion triggered lighting; constant light control; light control via threshold switches.
Additionally independent threshold switches can be configured for the sensor values: temperature, humidity, air pressure and air quality.

The device is powered directly by the DALI bus. The measured values can be read out via the DALI line.

DALI-2 CS is available in three different housings: for direct mounting on cavity walls or installation boxes (standard), for suspended ceilings (with spring), or for surface mounting (with backbox). The housing colour is traffic white RAL 9016 (-W16). Other colours are possible on request: pure white RAL 9010, or black (-B)
Factory setting: motion detection and 10min hold time before the off command.

The DALI-2 RM16 I HS and DALI-2 RM16 IS HS provide a relay contact controllable via the DALI bus for inrush currents up to 350A. This allows various loads up to 3.6KW to be switched via DALI.
The purposeful switching in voltage zero crossings, enables an increase of the device lifetime.
The Models RM16-I-HS and RM16-IS-HS can reduce the standby energy consumption of DALI devices by turning off the power supply. This ‘standby function’ allows seamless control of DALI operating devices. “On” commands sent through group addressing or broadcast will activate the relay, and the RM16 repeats the DALI commands on the bus, ensuring that the now-powered operating devices respond correctly.

The DALI-2 RM16 IS HS can also be manually operated via a switch on the housing.

Power-up mode and system-failure settings can be configured using the DALI Cockpit PC Software.

The DALI-2 Touchpanel 04 is a multifunctional control unit with up to 16 freely configurable buttons. The number of keys and the assigned DALI commands can be set in the DALI Cockpit Software. The device can be adapted to a wide variety of applications. A large number of layouts are available and custom layouts can be realised upon request.

Besides the standard functions, dimming, switching, scene recall, etc., predefined macros such as setting the colour temperature, dynamic scenes and sequences, as well as user defined command lists are supported.



Application example:

DALI-2 PS12 100mA serves as power supply for the DALI bus system. Adhering to standard voltage and current limitations, alongside precise timing, it ensures dependable bus communication. With the guaranteed output current of 100mA a small DALI line can be supplied with up to 50 standard DALI devices. The supply voltage ranges from 9V DC to 16V DC. DALI-2 PS12 100mA is suitable for flush-mounted installation boxes or for integration into protection class II devices.

Phase dimmer with DALI input to control dimmable 230V luminaires in a DALI system. The 4 channel phase dimmer is suitable for 4x10W loads. Each channel has its own DALI address. Leading edge or trailing edge can be set with the software tool DALI Cockpit. The DALI-2 4Ch PD also supports the operating mode as a DALI controlled electronic switch. The DIN rail housing is suitable for installation in control cabinets.

DALI-2 4Ch E-RM provides 4 switching outputs that can be controlled via the DALI bus (DALI DT7). This means that 230V loads without a DALI input can easily be integrated into a DALI circuit and switched on and off using DALI commands. Each channel has its own DALI address. Power-up mode and system-failure settings can be configured using the software tool DALI Cockpit. The DIN rail housing is suitable for installation in control cabinets.

Lens type -30 has an ultra wide and long distance detection type and is suitable for application in high bay aisles. The maximum mounting height is about 15m. For this installation height of 15m it gains a field of view of approx. 30m x 12m, with 188 detection zones which minimize blind spots.

The Timer module DALI-2 RTC+ enables the configuration and query of date and time as well as time based control of the DALI system – scheduler function.
Up to 32 entries can be defined, each consisting of weekday, days of the month, months, time stamp and DALI commands.
Timestamps can be selected not only in absolute terms but also in relation to sunrise and sunset – Astroclock function.

The compact device is used to expand the DALI line.
The DALI-2 Expander is connected to the DALI line (DALI IN terminals) and behaves like a DALI ballast with a DALI address.
The devices connected to the output of the DALI-2 Expander (DALI OUT terminals) form a subordinate DALI line. The DALI operating devices in the sub-line are controlled broadcast via the address of the DALI-2 Expander. With Art. Nr. 89452937-DES, the devices in the DALI sub-line can alternatively be controlled via Switch&Dim. The DALI-2 Expander has an integrated DALI bus power supply (25mA or 200mA, depending on the device design) to supply the sub-line.

DALI RM8/RM16 provides a relay switch (controllable via DALI bus), which allows direct switching of permanent loads up to 2kW. Various compact designs and variations with make-contact or changeover-contact are available. The purposeful switching in voltage zero crossings, enables an increase of the device lifetime. The product range also includes versions with integrated in-rush current limitation. Power-up mode and system-failure settings can be configured using the DALI Cockpit.

The module enables commissioning, configuration and control of a DALI system via Bluetooth using the smartphone application “DALI-Cockpit Mobile”.
The Lunatone smartphone application DALI-Cockpit Mobile offers a clear and simple interface with a DALI installation assistant, various DALI configuration options and a configurable user interface to control connected DALI devices.

The module offers a KNX TP interface, which enables switching, dimming and scene control via KNX.
Up to 8 gate functionalities can be implemented using the product database (ETS5/6). Each gate supports all DALI addressing types. Various KNX status objects are available for visualization.

The module has an integrated bus supply (200mA) for a DALI system of up to 64 DALI devices.
The independent control gear is suitable for remote ceiling installation or integration in luminaires.

With this module the exchange of a lamp or dimmer is possible without re-addressing!

The DALI Proxy is used for a simple DALI line expansion and enables an easy exchange of the devices connected to the output without re-addressing. On the input side (DALI IN) the DALI Proxy represents one device (one DALI address) and
can be handled like any DALI ballast. All commands received by the device are forwarded broadcast to the underlying devices (DALI OUT). Hence the devices connected to DALI OUT can be controlled via the DALI address of the DALI Proxy.

Example application:

WLAN – DALI Interface module for commissioning, configuration and control of a DALI system via WIFI, using the Lunatone Software DALI Cockpit. The DALI-2 WLAN module is ready for operation immediately after connection. The interface can be used via the device’s hotspot, or added to a local network.
Application software: DALI Cockpit Version 1.38.
The DALI-2 WLAN PS module has an integrated 200mA bus supply. For the DALI-2 WLAN module an external DALI bus supply is required.

The DALI-2 Display 7″ Emergency is a multifunctional control and operating unit for for DALI emergency light systems.

By default, the display shows the user interface for monitoring the emergency light system with the current status and results of the last performed tests.
The configuration menu can be used to schedule and automate communication, function and duration tests.
The device thus allows automatic and uncomplicated monitoring and functionality check of the emergency lighting system.
The test results are logged and can be emailed or downloaded via the display’s web interface.

Example application – mixed DALI system:

The module is used in combination with a DALI-2 Display 7” Plus or DALI-2 Display 7” Emergency. It allows a DALI system expansion with up to 3 additional DALI lines.
The device has 2 Ethernet sockets for connecting the DALI-2 Display and the local network. Up to three DALI lines can be connected via terminals DA1, DA2 and DA3.
The Display Bus Extension Module requires a 24V supply (suitable power supply unit: PS 24V, 300mA, Art. Nr.: 24166012-24HS).
DIN rail housing suitable for installation in control cabinets.



Typical Application:

Compact DALI-2 sensor module for motion detection (PIR) & light intensity measurement.

The module gathers measurements for a building management system (instance mode) – (DALI-2 CS Master, WAGO, Beckhoff, etc.). The measured values can either be queried or automatically trigger events. This functionality is implemented via DALI-2 instances. The DALI-2 CS Corridor Integration can be set accordingly in the DALI Cockpit Software.

The KNX 4 DALI Gateway is DALI-2 and KNX certified.
The gateway enables broadcast control of 4 DALI lines, each with 4 DALI operating devices. If needed, the number of devices can be extended with a DALI Expander. The 4 DALI lines are supplied with power by the KNX 4 DALI Gateway.

The configuration of the DALI-KNX Gateway can be done with the provided product database for ETS5. The data point types that match the DALI devices can be set in the ETS5 and linked to the KNX components.
Color temperature control (DT8: CW-WW), color control (DT8: RGB, RGBW) as well as the control of other light sources (DT0, DT2, DT3, DT4, DT6) are supported. DALI scene recalls are possible with KNX communication objects for scenes.

The DALI Room Controller serves as an interface between Bluetooth 5.0 and DALI.

The Lunatone smartphone application DALI-Cockpit Mobile offers a clear and simple interface with an installation assistant, various configuration options and a configurable user interface to control connected devices.

The module has an integrated bus supply (200mA) for a DALI system of up to 64 DALI devices. The independent control gear is suitable for remote ceiling installation or integration in luminaires.



Application example:

This compact module converts 4-20mA signals to DALI dim levels. The 4-20mA current value is sent Broadcast as a dimming value on the DALI bus.
The module has an integrated bus power supply for a small DALI system with up to 10 standard DALI ballasts (30mA).
The configuration of the dimming characteristics is possible with the help of jumpers. An additional configuration with the DALI Cockpit Software is not possible.

Versions for 24V supply or mains supply are available.

DALI Sequencer is a control unit to recall automatically timed instruction sequences. A sequence can combine various command-sequences and scene- recalls. 4 different sequences can be defined. The active sequence is started and stopped using DALI commands. Sequences can be executed once or looped. Housings for DIN Rail mounting and back box installation are available.

The back box version provides 4 potential free inputs to start the sequences. The DIN Rail type provides 4 switching inputs for mains voltage to start the sequences, and 4 LEDs to indicate active sequences.

RGBW User Interface
Control of RGBW color + white channel is now possible with the layout G09A.
A large RGBW area and a brightness slider are available,

Rotary and push button with capacitive sensor buttons for quick and precise control of brightness, colour, or colour temperature. Functionality and effective range for the rotary pushbutton can be set with the 3 or 5 capacitive buttons. The capacitive button will light up after being pressed to indicate the selected mode, the rotary knob will then control for example colour or brightness. Furthermore, it is possible to send individual DALI commands via the capacitive buttons to e.g., recall a scene. Several standard user interfaces are available and customer-specific designs can be implemented upon request.

The DALI-2 ROT Touch supports, in addition to the configuration via the DALI Cockpit PC Software, the adjustment of selected settings via smartphone (NFC capable) and the Lunatone NFC app.

The device can be mounted on commercially available flush- type installation boxes. It is directly supplied by the DALI line. A version with DALI bus power supply (-PS) is also available.
The -INT module only supports the instance mode (sending event messages instead of direct control commands) for integration in higher-level building management systems with DALI connection, such as those from WAGO or Beckhoff.



Application example for DALI-2 ROT Touch Tunable White: 

DALI-2 IoT Gateway is an interface to connect the DALI system with smart devices over the Internet of Things (IoT). With the DALI IoT Gateway, a simple realization of an intelligent system is possible, in which devices can be controlled and monitored with smartphones, PCs, etc. It is also possible to link several DALI lines. An API documentation is available, to enable energy monitoring, remote support, and many other applications. (RESTFul API endpoints and WebSocket with JSON syntax, encrypted (optionally unencrypted) for custom integrations). The device allows integration in any IoT application using the available Software Development Kit (SDK).



Typische Anwendung: 

Compact sensor modules for DALI and DALI-2 light control systems, with integrated motion detection (PIR) and light intensity measurement. Depending on the version with temperature, humidity, air pressure and air quality sensors. The modules can either be used to directly control the DALI system (application controller) or simply to gather measurements for a building management system (instance mode).

The DALI-2 multifunctional Sensors can be configured with the DALI Cockpit PC Software. For example, the light sensor can be set to automatically adjust room lighting (constant light control). 4 operating modes are supported: presence triggered constant light control; presence triggered lighting; constant light control; light control via threshold switches. In addition, alternative behaviour and parameters can be set, for example to change between different destination addresses or light values.
The measured values can be read out via the DALI line.

Multiple sensors within one group will synchronise automatically. The device is powered directly by the DALI bus.

Various housings are available: for direct mounting on cavity walls or installation boxes (standard), for suspended ceilings (with spring), for surface mounting (with backbox) as well as versions for installation in luminaires. Available housing colours are pure white RAL 9010, traffic white RAL 9016 (-W16) or black (-B).

The App allows quick and easy addressing and commissioning of all connected DALI devices. Additionally the app offers a convenient user interface for device control.

DALI PS2 80mA serves as power supply for a medium-sized DALI installation with up to 40 standard DALI ballasts. Voltage and current limitation according to standard as well as timing ensure a reliable bus communication. With the output current of up to 80mA a medium-sized DALI installation can be supplied. Up to 40 addressable DALI devices and control modules (DALI Sensors, MC, Touch panel…) can be connected, up to an overall load of 80mA. The device is suitable for installation in flush-mounted installation boxes.

Compact DALI-2 control module for connection of up to 4 EnOcean pushbuttons to the DALI system. Each of the 4 EnOcean inputs can be individually configured with effective range, switching functions and DALI commands. Besides the standard functions, dimming, switching, scene recall, etc., predefined macros such as setting the colour temperature, dynamic scenes and sequences as well as user defined command lists are supported. The device is designed to fit a flush-type installation box.

With variant 86463327-app, the application controller is activated. In addition to the standard DALI commands, the DALI DT8 TC and RGB (W) control is also supported. The device can also be set to instance mode with the DALI Cockpit PC Software.

The variant 86463327-int is set to instance mode (no direct DALI control commands) for integration into higher-level building management systems from e.g. WAGO, Beckhoff. The application controller can be activated with the DALI Cockpit PC Software.

With the 86463327-NFC version, selected settings are adjustable using a NFC ready smartphone and the Lunatone NFC App (in addition to configuration via the DALI Cockpit PC Software).

The module also contains a light sensor to deactivate motion detection when there is sufficient lighting. Activating the integrated light control unit enables DALI constant light control in a simple manner.

The KNX DALI-2 Gateway is DALI-2 and KNX certified. It is DALI multimaster capable and can transmit commands bidirectional from KNX to DALI and vice versa. The DALI system and the individual DALI devices can be configured with the DALI Cockpit PC Software. Application example:

Compact control module for automatic power reduction / brightness reduction for night-time. 


The device has an integrated bus supply (20mA) for up to 7 standard DALI loads, extension possible to max. 64 loads is possible with a DALI Expander.
2 operating modes are supported:

  • Operating mode B1: power reduction through mains phase or control phase 
  • Operating mode B2: power reduction using virtual midnight calculation

 

All necessary settings can be made using rotary and slide switches.
The module is supplied with 230V. There is a galvanic separation between the DALI output (20mA) and the 230V input. 2 sets of DALI terminals for easy connection. The DALI LR PS20 is suitable for installation in flush-type installation boxes or integration in protection class II devices.



With only one DT6 DALI address, the Dim2Warm module allows the simultaneous control of brightness while changing the colour temperature. The lower the dimming value, the warmer the light.

Any 2 DALI devices can be connected to the output.
The output mode can be set via the DALI Cockpit Software:
1. separate output of warm and cold white
2. joint output of warm and cold white at two outputs
The dimming curve can also be set individually for each output.

This interface is also interesting for special applications, e.g. control of direct and indirect lighting with a single DALI address.



Application example:

Once the basic settings have been defined in DALI Cockpit, the device parameters such as daylight curve, timer, schedules, brightness, color temperature, etc. can be set with a mobile device.

Lunatone introduces the next innovation in the field of DALI: DALI ROT, a rotary switch.
